John Preston Spires III

John Preston Spires III, of Rhine, passed away on June 7, 2014 at his residence.

John, age 38, was the son of John Preston Jr. and Teresa Powell Spires of Rhine. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He had worked for the NSA, GTE, Broad River Communications and the Washington County, Tenn., Dept. of Education.

The services were private.

Survivors include his wife, Kristy Spires of Jonesboro, TN; children, John Preston Spires IV and Mia Brice Spires of Jonesboro, TN.; parents, Preston and Teresa Spires of Rhine; 1 brother, Andrew Bryant Spires of Atlanta; grandmother, Wilma Dean of Hazlehurst; his special pet, Gizmo; many friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Matthew Spires.
