John Frank Gay, of Rhine, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, at the Dodge County Hospital in Eastman.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 2 at the Rockwell Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The Rev. Benny Moore and the Rev. James Hammock will officiate.

Mr. Gay, age 81, was married to Bernice Gunn Gay. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nora Lee Dominey Gay and John Frank Gay Sr.

He was a member of Rockwell Baptist Church and was a farmer.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Gay of Rhine; 2 children, Barbara (James) Hammock of Rhine and Ronnie Gay of McRae; 2 grandchildren, Allen Hammock of Rhine and Sara (Kevin) Phillips of Bonaire; 1 great-granddaughter, Katy Rose Hammock of Milan; several nieces and nephews.
