John Robert Cravey

John Robert Cravey, 87, of Milan, GA, passed away Saturday, November 06, 2021 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents Max L. Cravey and Ruby S. Cravey, 2 sisters; Mary Will Marchant and Catherine Taylor and grandson Chad Jones.

Mr. Cravey was born in Milan, GA. He was a graduate of Milan High School. A Cattle Farmer, he retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base Electronics Division after 42 years of service. After retirement, he worked for the Boll Weevil Eradication Program, and then was employed by the McRae CCA for 12 years. He was a member of the Milan Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rites, and Al Sihah Temple Provost Guard Unit. Mr. Cravey was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include Mr. Cravey's wife, Susie Cravey of Milan, GA; children, Bonnie Singletary of Winder, GA, Mickey (Pat) Cravey of Milan, and Sharon (Jonathan) Spires of Milan; 4 Grandchildren, Meryl (Rob) Snow of Winston Salon, NC, Suzanne (Jake) Hallman of Statesboro, Sherri (Paul) Armitage of Richmond Hill and Jay Cravey of Milan; 11 Great-Grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Lauren Jones, Rowen Snow, Harper Snow, Maryblake Snow, Jude Hallman, Rex Hallman, Lily Armitage, Mae Armitage, Griffin Armitage and Samford Armitage; 1 brother, Lamar (Jerry) Cravey of Milan; 2 Sisters, Eugenia Gore of Lumber City and Margaret McCullough of McRae.

Visitation for Mr. Cravey will be Monday, November 8, 2021 at Lowe's Funeral Home from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. and a funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at 2 P.M. with burial at the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Rev. Jody Yancey, Rev. Stacey Stone will officiate.

Flowers will be accepted by the family but ask that any donations be sent to the Al Sihah Shriners at 222 Mecca Dr. Macon, GA 31206.
