Mary Joanne Ware

Joanne Ware, age 85, of Milan, went to be with Jesus in her eternal home on Saturday morning, June 11th. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harry Ware; parents, Guy and Myrtice Thomas; and brother, Jerry Thomas.

Mrs. Ware is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Allen) Brown of Milan; Grandchildren, Lauren (Nick) Martin and Katie Brown both of Milan; Great-Grandson, Chandler Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ware was employed by the Dodge County School System, where she was a home-economics teacher. She was a proud Christian and a member of Milan Baptist Church. She lived and lead by example in each and every aspect of her special life. Mrs. Ware, lovingly called "Jo-Jo," will be remembered by her loved ones as a the most loving, devoted, caring, and upstanding wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Visitation will be held from 6 PM–8 PM, on Sunday, June 12th, 2022, at Lowe's Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place at 2 PM, on Monday, June 13th, 2022, at Milan Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Telfair Memorial Gardens. Bro. Aubrey Corbitt and Bro. Wayne Cobb will officiate.

The family will be meeting at Cathy (Allen) Brown's residence at 985 Horse Creek Rd, Milan, GA 31060.
