Jimmy Dean Barnett Jr., 63, of Helena, Georgia, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 14, 2026, at Dodge County Hospital in Eastman, Georgia. He was born on January 22, 1963, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Jimmy Dean Barnett, Sr. and Patricia Worley Barnett.

A funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Lowes Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Drew Howell will officiate.

Professionally, Jimmy was a self-employed truck driver.

Jimmy enjoyed the simple things in life, including hunting, fishing, painting, and camping. Above all, he dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Jimmy's legacy is carried on by his devoted children: Amber Barton (Ben) of Thomasville, Jimmy Dean Barnett III of Helena, and Coty Ryan Barnett (Kayla) of Savannah. Jimmy was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his sisters, Wanda Donnelly (Todd) of Flint, Michigan, and Twilla Arnold of Tennessee.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Patricia Barnett, and his brother, Aaron Densmore, Jimmy now joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Jimmy Dean Barnett Jr. and his memory will forever be a beacon of light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
