Jean McDuffie Vaughn, of McRae, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the McRae Manor Nursing Home in McRae. Services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, January 18 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home in Helena. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Sunday in the chapel. Interment will be in the Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae.

The Rev. Jason Dickerson and Mrs. Andrea Davidson will officiate.

Mrs. Vaughn, age 82, was preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. Vaughn; parents, Muller and Ruby Wilkes McDuffie; brother, Pete McDuffie; sister, Inez Wright.

She was a retired hairdresser and a secretary with the Telfair County Board of Education. And she was a member of the McRae United Methodist Church.

Survivors include 2 sisters-in-law, Rita McDuffie of Hiram and Claudie Mae Bennett of Thomaston; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
