Jean Stringfield

Jean Stringfield, 91, of McRae, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Carl Buchanan Stringfield ; her parents, Raymond Luther and Rosalie Dot Perry Bennett, a sister, Ramona Bateman; a brother, Randall Bennett.

She was a member of the McRae First Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, November 8, 2015, at the McRae First Baptist Church with interment in the Telfair Memorial Gardens, McRae. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the church.

The Rev. Todd Crosby and the Rev. Jim Mason will officiate.

Survivors include her daughter, Melinda (Glenn) Walker of Placitas, New Mexico and a son, Carl Buchanan "Bucky" Stringfield III; 1 grandson, Derrick (Kris) Weese of San Antonio, Texas; 2 great- grandchildren, Zachary Weese and Taylor Weese.
