J.C. Brown, 80, of Rhine, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in the Dodge County Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Henry Brown and Joe Annie Brown and a brother, Kennis Brown. J.C worked for many years with the Ocmulgee Construction Company, Washington County Farms Peach Company before retiring with the Tolleson Lumber Company. He was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, May 18th in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The Rev. Bobby Joe Ryals and the Rev. Chuck Taylor will officiate.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Geraldine Brown of Rhine; 3 sons, Gary (Teresa) Brown of Eastman, Tony (Wendy) Brown of Eastman and Chris (Marlene) Brown of Rhine; 1 brother, Buck (Susan) Brown of Eastman; grandchildren, Brittany Webb, Robby Brown, C.J. Brown, Christine Bowen; great granddaughter, Lucy Bowen; several nieces and nephews also survive including AmiJo Brown, Vashti Brown-Christian and Bryan Hulett.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the funeral home.
