Javene Kathryn Reaves

Javene Kathryn Reaves, 68, of Milan, Georgia passed peacefully with her family by her side on March 18, 2012. She is now celebrating and praising the Lord with a new body and walking on Holy Ground.

Javene was born on April 3, 1943 in Milan, Georgia to Elzie and Lillie Mae Cravey Lann. After many years of working at Roydon Wear in McRae, she retired as a supervisor and then enjoyed baking, catering, spending time with her family, and serving in her church. Her most recent enjoyment was having the opportunity to care for her beloved Marley Kay McNeal.

Javene accepted Jesus Christ on Easter 1975. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in McRae, where she loved worshipping her Lord with many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Elzie Lann; aunt Eva Mae Harrell; and uncle John Cravey, Jr. She leaves to celebrate her memory, her mother Lillie Mae Lann of Milan; children Kathryn and Joey of Milan, Kristina and Richard McClements of Fayetteville, and Kelly Reaves of Hawkinsville; grandchildren Jenna Kathryn Yawn, Matthew Henry Yawn, and Brendon Joshua Yawn of Milan, Alexandria Marie McClements and Lillian Ava McClements of Fayetteville, Jessica Lanley Wooley, Kelsey Nicole Reaves, and Allie Ann Reaves of Hawkinsville; brother Gerald and Beth Lann of Milan; sister Martha and Charles Garrett of Eastman; other siblings Belinda and Harry Thomas of McRae, and Billy Harrell of Milan; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Lowe's Funeral Home, Helena. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church in McRae with Bro. Bill Jones officiating. Burial services will follow at Siloam Baptist Church in Milan.

In lieu of flowers, Javene requested that donations be made to Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon, Georgia 31201 or Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 323, McRae, Georgia 31055.
