James Ervin Scott, 60, of Abbeville, died on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Mr. Scott was married to Omie Padgett Scott and was the son of the late James Luther Scott and Wylene Curl Scott. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Survivors include his wife, Omie Scott of Abbeville; 3 daughters, Joy Scott of Abbeville, E'lon Scott (Jonathan) of Abbeville and Omie LeAnn (Jose) Santos of Baxley; 1 granddaughter, Treasure Conley of Abbeville; brother and sisters, Brenda (Joseph) Yawn of Vidalia, Deannie Amerson of Twin City and Richard (Debra) Scott of Twin City; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 3rd at Lowe's Funeral Home, Helena.

Services will be held at a later date.
