James Roger Johnson, age 76, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at his residence in McRae.

Roger was married to Tina Bass Johnson of McRae. He was the son of the late Joe Brown and Clina Pollard Johnson of Telfair County.

He was a member of South Side Baptist Church and was a School Bus Driver with the Telfair County Board of Education until his retirement. He loved working in his garden.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 10th at Lowe's Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Johnson of McRae; children, James Michael Johnson of Cochran, Tammie Marie Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, Christopher David (Stephanie) Johnson of Douglas, Robert (Keair) Johnson of McRae; 3 grandchildren, Erica Johnson of Douglas, Elena Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, Kallie Johnson of McRae; 2 sisters, Eva Joe (Palmer) Crawford of Alamo, Connie (Jim) Grier of Valdosta; 1 brother, Larry (Carol) Johnson of Fitzgerald; and many friends.
