James Roy Godsey, Sr. and John Cory Godsey

James Roy Godsey, Sr., 67 of McRae, passed away Tuesday, May 09, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by 2 sons, Roy Godsey Jr. and John Cory Godsey, and also, father, Greal Sherman Godsey.

Mr. Godsey is survived by his daughter, Heather (RL) Wilkerson of Milan; grandsons, Rhett Wilkerson and Jacob Wilkerson, both of Milan; mother, Dorothy Godsey; children, Jr (Ola) McKinnon of Douglas, Johnny Godsey of McRae, Randy (April) Godsey of Milan, Melveta (Rusty) Brown of Alamo, Sheila (Hank) Wilcox of Denton, Wendell Godsey of Glenwood and William Godsey of Glenwood; also, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 3 P.M. at the Central Grove Church of God for Mr. Godsey and also for his son, John Cory Godsey who passed away on December 02, 2020. Rev. James Merritt will officiate.
