James Wesley Durden, 74, of Chauncey, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the Dodge County Hospital in Eastman.

James was a Tree Surgeon with Georgia Power before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Durden; parents, Chancey Durden and Lucy McDuffie Durden; granddaughter, Marykate Ashley; brothers and sisters, William Durden, Frank Durden, J.W. Durden, Dolline Foskey, Annie May Ryals.

Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6th in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment following in the St. Paul Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Horne will officiate. The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 5th at Lowe's Funeral Home.

Survivor include his children, Wesley Durden of Calahan, Florida, Stacey (Wayne) Ashley of Milan, Tracey (Brian) Jones of Eastman, Joey Long of Chauncey, Anthoney (Jamie) Durden of Eastman, Jeffery Durden of Chauncey; brother and sisters, Diane (Jerry) Wisham of Moultrie, Sue (Harvey) Bright of Glenwood, Carolyn Brown of Brunswick, Marion Durden of Chauncey; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
