OBITUARY AND FUNERAL NOTICE

Mrs. Inona B. Holt Wilkes, affectionately known as "Peppie", age 83, of Jacksonville, GA, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Lowe's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Holland and the Rev. William Connell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Lumber City.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, GA, Mrs. Wilkes was the widow of the late Jim Clyde Holt and George Leon Wilkes. She was a member of Mt. Galilee Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters: LaVerne Pharr, and her husband Mayo, Jr. of Marietta, and Marie Hunt of McRae; two grandchildren: Brian Hunt of Savannah, and Saiward Pharr Hromadka, and her husband Jared of Baton Rouge, LA. Several nieces, nephews, and countless friends also survive.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2012 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the McRae United Methodist Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 8, McRae, GA 31055; the American Kidney Fund at 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852; or the American Heart Association at P.O.Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
