Hugh Lowell Yawn Sr.

Hugh Lowell Yawn Sr, 72 of Rhine, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Wesley and Juanita Lowery Yawn.

After marriage and graduating high school, Hugh served in the National Guard. He began working at Warner Robins Air Force Base and retired after many years. After retirement, he opened Country Pride Market in Milan, where he enjoyed serving the community and interacting with customers. After 11 years, he closed the market.

Mr. Yawn is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Kinnett Yawn of 52 years; children, Tracy (Carter) Clements, Dana (Chad) Moncus and Hugh (Britney) Yawn Jr.; grandchildren, Carcy, Chloe, Cal, Katie, Kara, Tyler, Leah, Sadie, Halle and Abel; brother, Wesley (Pauline) Yawn Sr and Jack (Eloise) Yawn Sr.

Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. – 2 P.M. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Rockwell Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. Pastor Bill Jones and Rev. Benny Moore will officiate. Burial will take place at Rockwell Baptist Church Cemetery.
