Helen Lavine Cartwright, 88, of McRae, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Serenity Place

in Dublin.

Lavine is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cartwright and her mother, Bessie Mae McLaughlin; brothers and sisters, Iris Moore, Tommy Pitts, Raymond Pitts, Wallace Pitts, June Pitts and Bill Pitts.

She had retired from Roydon Wear and was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held from 7p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, June 5 at the funeral home.

The services will be private.

Survivors include her children, Janice (Mac) Coleman of McRae and Joe (Sherri) Cartwight of Shellman; grandchildren, April Causey of Vidalia, Laurie (Chad) Donald of Roswell and Cory Cartwright of Atlanta; great grandchildren, Tyler (Hayli) Mosley of Hazlehurst, Taylor Mosley and Gabe Mosley of Vidalia, Alexander Donald and Allen Donald of Roswell; brothers and sisters, Ted (Grace) McLaughlin of Helena, Prather (Mattie) Pitts of Helena, Mike (Jennifer) McLaughlin of Dublin, Lavern Davis of Gladstone, VA., and Faye Coody of Tobyhanna, PA.
