Helen Lowery Batchelor, 90, of McRae, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27 at Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae.

Rev. Randy Vaughn will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Batchelor was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Batchelor of McRae; parents, John and Laura Patterson Lowery of McRae; 2 sisters, Juanita Yawn of Milan, Marie Yawn of Haynesville, and 1 brother, Hugh Lowery of McRae.

She was a member of the McRae Church of Christ. She had worked at Roydon Wear, with the School Food Service and had been a Private Duty nurse.

She is survived by sons, Elmer Batchelor of Altha, Florida, Lou (Martha) Batchelor of Baxley, William Batchelor of Baxley, Jimmy (Laverne) of Fitzgerald, Glenn (Melinda) Batchelor of McRae; sisters, Chester Lee Marchant of Milan, Mrytice Thomas of McRae, Montana Knowles of Macon, JoAnn Adams of McRae; brother, Jack Lowery of McRae; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
