H. Wayne Ragland, age 71, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Harold Lee and Sara Brown Ragland and was married to Cindy Story Ragland.

Wayne had a Masters Degree in Forestry from the University of Georgia. He was a Timber Broker with Ragland Timber Company. He was a member of El Bethel Church.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 14th at the El Bethel Church in Hazlehurst. Burial will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.

El Bethel Church address: 11 Kirkland Still Road, Hazlehurst.

The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, May 13 at the church.

Mr. Jack Floyd and the Rev. Mike Gilbert will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Story Ragland; 3 children, Lee Ragland, Suzanne (Juran) Ray, and Chase Ragland; 7 grandchildren, Dylan, Zach, Cady, Mandy, Bella, Carson and Donny; 1 great-granddaughter, Emma Grace; 1 sister, Emmagene (Sam) D'Angelo; several nieces and nephews.
