Obituary

Gerald Frank Hulett

Thursday, December 1, 1949 – Tuesday, March 11, 2025

Gerald Frank Hulett, 75, of Jacksonville, Georgia, cherished family man, and respected community member, passed away at his residence on March 11, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1949, in McRae, Georgia, to the late Johnny Hulett, Sr. and Clifford Hart Hulett. Mr. Hulett was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Hulett.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Hulett Cemetery at 3:00 PM with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. At the family's request there will be no visitation.

His career as a skilled boilermaker was a testament to his strong work ethic and his ability to craft and repair with precision and care.

Gerald's hands were rarely still, as he found joy and purpose in piddling in his yard, a pastime that brought him immense satisfaction and peace. A man who found solace in nature, Gerald devoted countless hours to maintaining the beauty and serenity of the family cemetery, ensuring it remained a respectful and clean resting place for those who had passed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Hulett of Jacksonville, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories. His legacy continues through his son, Brian Hulett of Jacksonville, and grandson, Jake Hulett, who brought him immense joy. He also leaves behind his sisters, Margaret Pridgen of Douglas, Marilyn Rish (Archie), and Debra Smith (Darrell) of Broxton and sister-in-law, Marlene Hulett of St. Marys.

As we bid farewell to Gerald, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey completed with honor, and a story that will be told with love for generations to come.
