Gerald Edwin Dunn Sr., 71, of McRae, died on Friday, December 14, 2018, at his residence.

Gerald retired with Standard Candy Company; was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Dunn and Virginia Dungan Dunn; a brother, Bobby Dunn and a sister, Edna Giddens.

Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, December 16th in the Macedonia Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery.

The Rev. Chuck Morgan and the Rev. Randall Tarpley will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Horton Dunn of McRae; 4 children, Monica (Greg) Gunn of McRae, Rebecca (Chris) Hope of Broxton, Gerald (Amy) Dunn of McRae; Joseph (Danielle) Dunn of McRae; 11 grandchildren; Luke Gunn, Leah Gunn, Harleigh Hope, Seth Hope, Eli Hope, Ansleigh Hope, Matthew Dunn, Bailey Dunn, Averi Dunn, Joseph Dunn Jr., and Brayden Dunn; 4 brothers and sisters, Joyce Brown of Cadwell, Donald Dunn of McRae, Margaret (Larry) Brewer of Cadwell, Bruce (Dale) Dunn of Cadwell.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 15th at the funeral home.
