Frances Patricia Powell, 86, of McRae, died July 14, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services in the funeral home.

The burial will be private.

The Rev. Alvin Lewis will officiate.

Mrs. Powell was the wife of the late Homer Powell. She graduated Salutatorian of her class at McRae Helena High School. She retired after forty years with Roydon Wear. She was a member of the McRae First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Powell and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wood of Conyers.
