Services for Evelyn Grimes Williams of McRae will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 28 at Southside Baptist Church in McRae with interment at Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27 at the funeral home.

The Rev. Dan Jones and the Rev. Bobby Joe Ryals will officiate.

Mrs. Williams, 94, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Georgia.

Mrs. Williams was born in Montgomery County and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She had worked for the Telfair County Hospital as a nurse for 40 years, where she assisted Dr. Frank Mann, Dr. Duncan McRae, Dr. Fred Smith and Dr. Brian Siddall with many procedures. She was preceded in death by former husband, Thad Jerry Cooper; parents, Alfred Burch Grimes and Dora Elizabeth Williams Grimes; sisters, Maxine G. Nobles and Emma G. Selph.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Floyd Williams; brother, A.B. Grimes; brother-in-law, Dan Williams; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
