Ethel Pearl
Hulett
May 12, 1927 — Jun 23, 2014
Mrs. Ethel Livingston Hulett, aged 87, went to be with the Lord Monday evening June 23, 2014. At her death she was a resident of White Oak Manor near her daughter in Rock Hill, SC.
She was born May 12, 1927 at home in Scotland, GA, the eldest daughter of N. A. Livingston and Bettie Ann Johnson Livingston. She helped raise her sisters and brothers after her mother became infirm. She was preceded in her death by her father and mother and stepmother Mrs. Mary Livingston, sisters Mary Lee Livingston and Beulah Walker, and brothers McKinley, Olin, Elbert and L. D. Livingston; a beloved nephew Lloyd (Gayle) Powell and a beloved sister-in-law Ruth (Hez) Selph.
She was a homemaker and loving wife of Grady Hulett who preceded her to Heaven in 1996. A kind and gentle woman who loved her family dearly. A member of Friendship Baptist Church and later Blockhouse Baptist church, she loved the Lord and looked forward to her homecoming. A true servant in every sense of the word. Her home was a home of love and acceptance. She gave of herself to her family and friends.
A longtime employee of Roydon Wear, she retired in 1986. She enjoyed tending her flowers and vegetable garden. Always an early riser, she loved to have her coffee on the back deck and feed the squirrels. Some so tame they would take peanuts from her hand.
She is survived by two sisters, Dolly (Olin) Walker of Warner Robins, and Alice Livingston Powell of McRae, GA; a son, Howard Hulett of Warner Robins, A daughter Evelyn (Ken) Fussell of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren, Justin Hulett of Warner Robins, Tracey Fussell (Sam) Bennett of Goose Creek, SC, Chris (Tina) Fussell of Rock Hill, SC. She also has seven great grandchildren, Conner Hulett of Warner Robins, GA; Rossie, Rebekah, and Chase Bennett of Goose Creek, SC and John, Sarah and Bethany Fussell of Rock Hill, SC, all of whom she loved. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Ruthie (Bo) Jackson, Clara (Allen) Hill, Tommy (Francis) Self, Larry (Joyce) Selph, Sherry (Sonny) Walden, Craig (Mary) Powell, Wanda Walker (John) Collins, Terry (Elizabeth) Walker.
