Services for Elizabeth Shepherd, of Milan, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30 at Freedom Baptist Church in Milan with interment in Milan City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29 at Lowe's Funeral Home.

The Rev. Tommy Land will officiate.

Mrs. Shepherd, 78, passed away January 27, 2013 at Dodge County Hospital in Eastman.

She was the daughter of the late Jay and Etta Bowen Reaves and the widow of James Russell Shepherd. A brother, Gene Reaves, preceded her in death.

She retired from the Telair County Board of Education and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Rusty Shepherd of Hiram, Sharon Cook of Milan and Janet (Joe) Jones of Eastman; three grandchildren, Cole Jones, Braylon Shepherd and Drew Cook; one sister, Connie Floyd of McRae; one brother-in-law, Gene (Myrtice) Shepherd of Fort Valley; several nieces and nephews.
