Elizabeth Ann Garrett of Helena, GA passed away at age 61 on March 4, 2019 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA. Elizabeth was born in Orange, New Jersey on November 9, 1957. She married David Garrett, her husband, of almost 42 years, on 03/10/1977 in McRae, GA.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father, George Taylor of Newark, NJ. Surviving is her mother, Barbara Taylor of Newark, NJ; husband, David Garrett of McRae, GA; son, James Garrett and wife Lisa Garrett and grandchildren Jacob, Tyler and Lilly Garrett of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Jessica Smith and husband Scotty Smith of Lyons, GA and son, Hunter Smith; sisters, Debbie and Dave Smith of Tumwater, WA, Sally and Chris Redington of Susquehanna, PA, and Sherrie and James Christianson of Kennewick, WA.

"Liz" worked for the National Resource Conservation Service as a Conservation Specialist for over ten years. She was also a founding member of the Friends of Little O group with Ocmulgee State Park and was awarded the Volunteer Spirit Award in 2017.

Liz was loved by many & her smile that lit up the world will be missed by all!

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Little Ocmulgee State Park in Helena, GA behind Shelter #2. The Rev. Stanley Steverson, of Soul Cross Ministries, will be officiating.
