Earnest Dorsey Brown, 80, of McRae, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Serenity Place in Dublin.

Dorsey was a member of the McRae Church of God; a bus driver with the Telfair County Board of Education for many years and a logger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel McLeod Brown; a daughter, Debra Brown Wyatt; parents, Effie Selph Brown and Eugene Brown.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 7, 2017 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Helena City Cemetery.

The Rev. Danny Joiner and the Rev. Jerroll Taylor will officiate.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Tribble of McRae; 2 granddaughters, Karen Hayes of McRae and Krystal (Brad) Watson of Glenwood; 4 great-grandchildren, Blake (Hunter) Warren, Nicholis Watson, Alyssa Colson and Jermy Watson; 2 brothers, J.D. (Betty) Brown and Roy (Maxine) Brown both of Helena; 1 sister, Gracie Spires of Macon; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, April 6th at the funeral home.

Lowe's Funeral Home of Helena has charge of the arrangements.
