Dorothy Mae Godsey

Dorothy Mae Godsey, 85 of McRae, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the McRae Manor Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Greal Sherman Godsey; mother, Odessa McKinnon; sons, Fred Godsey, Larry Godsey and James Godsey, Sr.; daughter, Glenda Barfield; siblings, Morris Harden, Virginia Spell, Winnie Fred Pelz and John Roy McKinnon.

Survivors include her children, Wendell Godsey of Glenwood, William Godsey of Glenwood, Melveta (Rusty) Brown of Alamo, Sheila (Hank) Wilcox of Denton, Randy (April) Godsey of Milan, Johnny Godsey of McRae, JR (Ola) McKinnon of Douglas; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and sister, Linda Cothern of Pearson.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 6 P.M.- 8 P.M. at Lowe's Funeral Home. The graveside service and burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Scotland Cemetery. Rev. JB Floyd will officiate.
