Doris Powell Jones, 95, of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Trinity Hospital in Augusta.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wilson Jones and her parents, Grover Cleveland Powell and Alpha Horne Powell.

She was a retired Beautician.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 11 in the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home in Helena with interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Lumber City.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. before the services in the Chapel.

Survivors include 1 son, Gary (Lisa) Jones; 2 grandchildren, Jason (Kim) Jones, Christina (Casey) Houchins; 2 great-grandchildren, Isabelle Houchins and Tyler Ryan Jones all of Augusta.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Gideon's International, 3923 Washington Road, Augusta, Georgia 30907 or to the Humane Society in Augusta, 425 Wood Street, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
