Diane Selph Burch

Saturday, November 4, 1950 - Friday, March 14, 2025

Diane Selph Burch, 74, of McRae, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, in McRae, Georgia. She was born on November 4, 1950, in Ocilla, Georgia.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Monday, March 17th at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Lowes Funeral Home. Rev. Stanley Steverson will officiate, assisted by Rev. Tommy Joines. Interment will take place at Dodges Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16th from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Lowes Funeral Home.

Diane was the beloved daughter of Geraldine P. Selph of McRae and the late Ronnie Selph. She grew up surrounded by the warmth and camaraderie of her siblings, Cathy Selph, Doyle Selph (Ellen), Gary Selph, and Mike Selph (Dawn), all of whom reside in McRae. Her presence as a devoted sister and confidante will be deeply missed.

Her life was further enriched by the joy she found in her nephews, Nate Selph of Nashville, TN, Hunter Selph (Emma Rose) of Tifton, Trace Selph of McRae, and Winston Bolen of Bonaire. She also held a special place in her heart for her great-nieces and nephews, Lane Clements of Rentz, Aeris Bolen of Bertram, Texas, and Alana Bolen of Rentz. Diane's love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life.

Diane's journey through life was shared with her beloved dog, Freddie, who was a constant source of companionship and joy. Her home was filled with the warmth of their bond, and Freddie's loyal presence was a comfort to her until the end.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Earl Burch, her father, Ronnie Selph and her sister Denise Selph.

Professionally, Diane was dedicated and passionate. She loved her job and continued to work with commitment and resilience as a McRae Helena City Clerk, even during her illness. Diane retired on December 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and integrity that will long be remembered by all who worked alongside her.

Diane's interests were as varied as they were fulfilling. She found much joy in reading and her hands were rarely still, as she expressed her creativity through crochet and cross-stitch, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected her attention to detail and her love for the arts.

As we bid farewell to Diane Selph Burch, we celebrate a life lived with grace and kindness. Diane's legacy is not only in the work she accomplished and the crafts she created but also in the love she gave and the lives she touched.
