Derwood James Bartsch, 71, of McRae Helena, died on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in the Dodge County Hospital, Eastman.

Derwood was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer James Bartsch and Pearl Uroman Bartsch. He was born In Battle Creek, Michigan, but had lived in Helena for many years.

He was a retired welder and was a member of South Side Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 18th in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill McKinnon will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Judy A. Hull of Helena; 1 brother, Duane (Evelyn) Bartsch of Battle Creek, Michigan; 1 sister, Sally Woodfin of South Boadman, Michigan; several nieces and nephews also survive.
