Memorial services for Demetris Lee "Matt" McDaniel, 60, of Jacksonville will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with Rev. John Conley officiating.

Mr. McDaniel passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 while sleeping at his residence. He was the son of the late Lee and Macey Cravey McDaniel of Telfair County and was married to Renee Dykes McDaniel of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Hulett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joel McDaniel, Dennis Roberson, Blaney Roberson, Ron Bowen, Adam McDaniel, Logan McDaniel, Craig McDaniel and Gerald Frank Hulett

He had served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Conflict and was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Renee McDaniel of Jacksonville; four children, Teresa McDaniel, Veronica Parker, Angela McDaniel and Sara (Robert) Atkinson; seven grandchildren; one brother, Joel (Rebecca) McDaniel; and many friends.
