Della Ann Kitchens Harwell

Della Ann Kitchens Harwell of Lumber City, Georgia, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at Dodge County Hospital at the age of 77. She was born on December 15, 1948.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Gary Webster will officiate.

Della is survived by her sons, James Kitchens and Neal Kitchens of Lumber City, and her adored grandson, James Ethan Kitchens of Hazlehurst. Della's memory will also be cherished by her brothers, Austin Sears (Bonnie) of Vidalia, Greg Sears, and Leary Sears of Hazlehurst, as well as several loving nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Della worked for many years as a cook at Waylon's Restaurant in McRae.

Della was preceded in death by her husband, Comer Kitchens, her parents, Harvey and Lola Bryan Sears, her brothers Harvey Sears Jr. and Randy Sears, and her sister Marie Williams.

As we say goodbye to Della Ann Kitchens Harwell, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Della's life was a journey of love and she will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
