David Anthony "Frank" Murphy, 82 of Scotland, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018.

David was born on December 3, 1935 in North Reading Massachusetts to Marea and Sherman Murphy. David is survived by his two sons, David and Daniel Murphy and his wife of 34 years Ann Murphy of Scotland, GA; Adopted son Eric and wife Ana Juarez; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his sister Sheila Williamson; and many beloved friends and members of the Scotland and McRae communities. He was preceded in death by his older brother Sherman Murphy and his parents Marea and Sherman Murphy.

David was active in the community of Scotland, where he served as Mayor for 5 years and was the volunteer Fire Chief. David was a former Vice President of the Pioneer Historical Society which participated in the restoration of the South Georgia College building in McRae, GA along with his wife Ann. David was a member of the American Legion of Telfair county, Post 80. He was a proud 23-year military veteran, having served in the Air Force in both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
