Daniel "Danny" Maloy McMillan
Sunday, December 8, 1946 – Sunday, January 11, 2026
Daniel Maloy McMillan, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Eatonton, Georgia on January 11, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on December 8, 1946, in McRae, Georgia, to the late Angus and Florrie McMillan. Daniel's life was one of creativity and dedication, leaving a legacy of love and craftsmanship that will be remembered by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at Sharon Baptist Church on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Kenneth White officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Danny's work as a self-employed contractor and master electrician was more than a profession; it was a calling and a true reflection of who he was. He approached every project with pride, care, and dedication, leaving behind work that would endure for years to come. Building was his passion, and through his craftsmanship, he formed meaningful and lasting connections with those he worked alongside. One of his proudest achievements was building Friendship Baptist Church in Eatonton, where he was a charter member.
Beyond his career, Danny embraced life with many interests. He found peace in fishing and joy in music, often sharing his talent for guitar and singing with family and friends. He loved singing and hosting karaoke and bringing people together through song. He was proud to have attended Georgia Tech and remained a loyal and enthusiastic supporter of the team throughout his life.
Danny's greatest pride, however, was his family. He is survived by his devoted son, Rudy McMillan (Elizabeth) of Hilton Head, South Carolina, and his loving daughter, Amy Brown (Jamey) of Eatonton. His joy was multiplied with the birth of his granddaughter, Addi Brown of Eatonton, who brought endless happiness to his later years. Danny also leaves behind his caring sisters, Rita Williams (David) of Milan and Ethelynn Stuckey (Billy) of Sea Island, and his brother, Donnie McMillan of Eatonton.
As we bid farewell to Daniel Maloy McMillan, we celebrate a life rich in love, creativity, and joy. Danny's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories we share and the lives he touched.
