Daniel Lewis Cravey

CRAVEY, Daniel Lewis, 94, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2017 in Richmond, VA. Born in Milan, GA on December 9th, 1922 he was the son of Lewis L. and Eva M. Cravey. During World War II he served in the US Army in the European theater as a member of the 802nd Field Artillery Battalion. After the war he worked for 38 years for Union Camp Corporation in Savannah, GA and Richmond, VA. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Edna (Iris) and is survived by sons Robert (Rosalie), Larry (Maura), Gregory (Christine), Phillip (Darla) and daughter Barbara McCray (Mack). He had seven grandchildren, Wayne, Scott, Steven, Gary, Andrew, Daniel Cravey and Jennifer Comer (Brandon) and one great grandchild Grady Comer. He is also survived by three sisters Mollie Carpenter, Lizzie Malloy and Janey Walden. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM and the service will start at 2:00 PM at Lowe's Funeral Home in Helena, GA.
