Dan Williams, 81, of Helena, Georgia, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2024, at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, February 9, 1943 in Helena, Georgia. He was the son of the late J.B. Williams and Thelma Dunlap Williams. Dan was predeceased by the love of his life, Myrtle Bernice Yawn, and their beloved son, Keith Williams.

For many years, Dan was a dedicated steel tire cord worker at Amercord. He was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church.

His memory will be honored and kept alive by his surviving family: Son - Robby Williams (Toni) of McRae; Daughter - Tabitha Moore (Tracey) of Helena; Daughter-in-law - Charlene Williams of Reidsville; Eight grandchildren and Nine great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life; Niece - Sherry Heath (Wayne) of Helena; Great Niece- Selena Harrell (Joey) of Helena and Nephew - Josh Heath (Lauren) of Columbus.

The family will receive friends at Lowes Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 11. A funeral service will be held at Faith Baptist Church on Saturday, October 12 at 1:00 P.M. Bro. Bill Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
