Dabney Carr "Danny" Crosby Jr.

Services for Dabney Carr "Danny" Crosby Jr were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment in Harrelson Cemetery.

The Rev. Daryl Barlow and the Rev. Dewayne Bynum officiated.

Mr. Crosby, 60, died September 29, 2011 at the Lower Oconee Hospital in Glenwood. He was the son of Josie Claude Harvey Crosby of Pelham and the late Dabney Carr Crosby Sr. and was married to Ada Sue Harrelson Crosby.

He was an Army Veteran, worked with the McRae & Helena Police Departments and had worked as a Correctional Officer with the Mt. Vernon Prison.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Crosby of Helena; two sons, Carr (Heidi) Crosby of Workmore and Shannon Crosby of Helena; grandchildren, Seth Crosby, Paige Crosby, Tyler Crosby, Brook Crosby, and Jadon Crosby; mother, Josie Crosby of Pelham; two sisters, Brenda Hegwood of Pelham and Jill (Gary) Barfield of Blakely; one brother,

Adrian (Robin) Crosby of Madison, TN.

Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the funeral home.
