Services for Cleon Gerald Brown of McRae will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at Faith Baptist Church, McRae, with interment in the Telfair Memorial Gardens, McRae.

The Rev. Bill Jones, the Rev. Fred McCoy and the Rev. Lawton Sammons will officiate.

Mr. Brown, age 82, passed away at his residence on April 5, 2013. He was the son of the late John Harvey and Mary Lou Jones Brown of Alamo and was married for 56 years to Shirley Singletary Brown.

He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and had attended Faith Baptist Church for the past several years. He was an avid small craft pilot, grew up in the Springhill Community and had worked as a Supervisor with the Golden Flakes Snack Foods before retiring. He had served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Singletary Brown of McRae; children, Deborah Brown (Donnie) Cravey of Cordele and Cindy Brown (Randy) Grimes of Eastman; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Lynne Cravey of Newnan, Joseph Kyle Cravey of Murfreesboro, TN., Lauren Ashton Cravey of Augusta, Victoria Lierrin Grimes of Eastman, and James Robert Grimes of Jaybird Springs; 1 great-grandson, Noah Dawton Grimes; and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the funeral home.
