Claude Lelmon Rivers, 66, of Jacksonville, Georgia, died on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in the Coliseum Medical Center, Macon.

Lelmon was a foreman with the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Westbrook Rivers and Eleanor Powell Rivers; brother-in-law, "Toots" Wayne Powell; nephew, Little Wayne Powell; grandchild, Anthony Paul Wodzinski.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery. Come as you are, as Claude was. Fishing and hunting attire will be acceptable.

The Rev. L. S. Seabolt will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Helen E. Brewer of Jacksonville; 2 sons, Brian (Carmen) Rivers of Birmingham, Alabama., Brookes (Brenda) Rivers of Fitzgerald; 2 girls, Toni (Robby) Williams of McRae, Natalie (Terry) Camp of Helena; 2 sisters, Rosalind Powell of Lumber City, JoAnn (Art) Stafford of Kingsport, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, Mason Rivers, Kara Rivers, Caitlyn Dennison, Jennifer Webb, Lacey Williams, Destiny Camp, Brandon Camp; several nieces and great-grandchildren. Also survived by the lucky deer, squirrels and fish that he was unable to get to.
