Clara Mildred Jones
Monday, October 26, 1942 - Thursday, February 13, 2025
Clara Mildred Jones, 82, of Helena, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Georgia. She was born on Monday, October 26, 1942, in Helena, Georgia.
Mildred was the beloved daughter of the late Daniel Geter Bellflower and Grace Lester Bellflower, and the granddaughter of the late Jessie Bellflower and Rebecca Bellflower and the late Walter Black, as well as the late James Robert Lester and Idah Jones Lester. Her roots in Helena were deep, and she carried the legacy of her family with pride and honor throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Billy F. Jones, and her cherished life companion, Donald Buttrom. Her legacy continues through her son, Jonathan Hall (Kristi) of Cumming, who she adored beyond measure and flourished through her grandchildren, Hannah Wisener (Christopher) and Jon Hall of Cumming, and her great-grandson, Wade Wisener of Cumming, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Mildred's family circle included her dear cousin/sisters, Bobbie Wells of Warner Robins, and Terry Anzures of Tampa, Florida. She also leaves behind her cousin, Richard Davis of Monticello, along with numerous other cousins who will miss her dearly. The father of her son, Calvin R. Hall of Maysville, Kentucky, also survives her.
Professionally, she served her community with distinction, having held the honorable position of Magistrate Judge of Telfair County for one term. Her career also included dedicated service as a secretary for Dr. McRae, a clerk at Helena City Hall, and a bookkeeper for Smith Savings and Loan. Her tenure at Gulf Oil/BP further showcased her commitment to excellence in all her endeavors.
Mildred had an unwavering love for gospel music, which uplifted her spirit and those around her. Traveling was one of her passions, as she cherished the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories. She found great pleasure in dining at her favorite restaurants, Cedar Lane and Southern Star, where she enjoyed the company of friends and the comfort of good food.
Above all, Mildred's role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was the cornerstone of her life. Her love for her family was boundless, and she made it her life's mission to ensure that each member knew they were deeply loved.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the love she shared and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her. One of her last requests to her son was for him to make sure that everyone knew that she loved them.
