Charles Drew Thompson

Charles Drew Thompson, of Helena, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia.

Charles, 86, was the son of the late James Eli and Ola McCranie Thompson.

He had served in the Armed Forces and was a master mechanic.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 15 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 16 in the Helena City Cemetery.

The Rev. Dewitt Corbin will officiate.

Survivors include his daughter, Cathy Haymons of Helena; 3 grandchildren, Meredith (Tucker) Dixon of Glenwood, Beth (Alan Bethea) Haymons of Hiram and Steven Bradley Haymons of Pooler; 2 great-grandchildren, Drew Dixon and Ava Cate Dixon both of Glenwood.
