Services for Charles N. Gillis of Jacksonville, GA. will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment in Turnpike Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26 at the funeral home.

The Rev. Sonny Pate will officiate.

Mr. Gillis, age 72, passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

He was the son of the late Clarence Tillman and Rosa Lee Ray Gillis of Telfair County and was married to Carolyn Cothren Gillis of Jacksonville. He was a lifetime member of NRA.

He had retired from the construction industry.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Gillis of Jacksonville; two sons, Stacey (Angel) Gillis of McRae and Elvis (Jennifer) Gillis of Lake City, Fla; five step-children, Tracey Brewer of Milan, Timothy Brewer of Helena, Craig (Rita) Skinner of Bradenton, Fla., Robin Skinner and Helen Skinner both of Lake City, Fla; six grandchildren, Michael, Victor, Jessica, Shontelle, Savannah and Maddison; one great-grandson, John Henry- Brylan; one sister, Ruby Smith of Vidalia.
