Bradley "Brad" Lamar Stanley of Rhine, Georgia, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Rhine, Georgia, on February 18, 2026 at the age of 61. Born on December 22, 1964, in Macon, Georgia, Brad's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.
A funeral service will be held at Rhine Baptist Church on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. Reverend Chuck Yzenski will officiate, assisted by Mr. Gary Ryals. Interment will be held at Bay Spring Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at the church from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
Brad attended Ben Hill Tech, where he acquired skills that would serve him well throughout his career. He spent many years at Bluebird, where he was known for his reliability and expertise. Upon retiring, he embraced a new challenge as the maintenance supervisor at Wilcox State Prison.
Brad is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Harrell Stanley of Rhine; children, Bryan Stanley of Rhine, and Jessica Stanley of Valdosta; mother, Sara Stanley of Rhine; sister, Denae Hilliard (Will) of Rhine; grandchildren, Jessilyn and Alfie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Stanley.
Brad's interests were a reflection of his character. He enjoyed fishing, a pastime that allowed him to revel in the tranquility of nature and the simple pleasure of a day spent on the water. Woodworking was another of Brad's passions.
As we say goodbye to Bradley "Brad" Lamar Stanley, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, hard work, and cherished moments. His spirit will continue to inspire us, and his memory will be a guiding light for generations to come.
