Services for Bill Brown of McRae will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 4 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment in Telfair Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm, Saturday, August 3 at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown, age 93, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 in McRae. He was the son of the late John and Irene Brown and the widower of Johnnie Mae Williams Brown.

He was a member of the Friendship Holiness Baptist Church and had served in the United States Army during World War II. He had retired as a heavy equipment operator with Telfair County.

Survivors include six children, Benny Wayne (Brenda) Brown of Statesboro, Wanda Faye Harrison of Helena, Billy Darrell Brown of Helena, Billie Jo (Roger) Davis of Chauncey, Barbara (Donnie) Spires of Dublin and Ann (Buddy) Towns of Helena; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many friends.
