Betty Sue Rebecca Horton Durden, 73, of Milan, died on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Serenity Hospice House in Dublin.
Betty retired as a CNA with McRae Manor Nursing Home and Visiting Nurses Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Durden; parents, Marvin and Neva Edge Horton; brother, George Horton; sisters, Ruby Edge and Mary Ray.
Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment following in the St. Paul Holiness Church Cemetery.
The Rev. Dean Hemphill and the Rev. Gary Edge will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the chapel of the funeral home.
Survivors include 4 children, Mike (Lynn) Durden of Milan, Randy (Elaine) Durden of Eastman, Marilyn Lann of Milan and Vicky Durden of Milan; 2 brothers, Geiger (Shirley) Horton of Jacksonville, Glenn (Debbie) Horton of Chester; 2 sisters, Patricia Spires of McRae, Shirley (Tom) Ashbee of McRae; grandchildren, William Durden, Layton Wilcox, Cole Wilcox, Chelsey Lann, Blayre Durden, Madison Durden, Garrett Durden, Griffin Durden; great grandchildren, Brett Durden, Brooklyn Durden, Harley Wilcox, Katlyn Wilcox, Colton Wilcox, Tegan Wilcox, Jiuliana Wilcox, and Parker Wilcox; several nieces and nephews also survive.
