Barney Elmon Sapp, 74, of McRae, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2019 at his residence.

Barney was preceded in death by his parents, Barney Monroe Sapp and Gladys Ophelia Jones Sapp.

He was owner and operator of Reliable Monument Company.

Survivors include his 3 children, Richard Elmon (Donna) Sapp of McRae, Tracey Emory Sapp of McRae and Alicia Michelle Harvey of Athens; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Barbara Faye (Vernon) Steele of McRae; and a nephew, John Marke Steele of McRae also survive.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
