Barbara Martin

Barbara Martin, 84, of McRae, died on Sunday, June 20th, 2021 in the McRae Manor Nursing Home.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Milton Martin; a son, Charles Scott Martin; her parents, Charles Hughes and Margaret Bass Hinson. She was a member of the Springhill United Methodist Church and was a retired registered nurse with the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

The family will be hosting a celebration of the memory of her life at Little Ocmulgee State Park at Group Shelter #1 on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will not be a service, just drop in visiting and remembering her life.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Sylvia (Lynn) Holliday of Lizella, Jamie Thomas of Alamo; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Nancy Jackson of Bonaire; 1 brother, John Hinson (Ann) of Hickory, North Carolina.
