Alan May

Alfred Alan May, 48, of Helena, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 29 at the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home, Helena. Interment will be in the Parkerson Cemetery, Eastman.

The Rev. Keith Powell will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 28 at the funeral home.

Alan was the son of Margie Smith May of Eastman and the late Boots May and was married to Selena Cravey May of Helena. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Warren Hunter May.

He was a former timber cruiser and a correctional officer; U.S. Navy Veteran, member of Bethel Baptist Church, Eastman and owner of May's Custom Calls. He loved to fish and hunt.

Survivors include his wife, Selena Cravey May of Helena; son, Alan Michael May; daughter, Ashley Megan (Casey) Slade; granddaughter, Alivia Ray Slade; mother, Margie Smith May; brother, Terry May; nephew, Kyle May; niece, Amber Underwood; and many friends.

The family will be at the home of Kenneth and Susan Jones, Helena.
