Mr. Alan Wayne Staley, 60, of McRae passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Staley was the son of the late Julis and Georgia Brown Staley. He was born in Miami, Florida, but had lived in McRae for many years. He was preceded in death by a son, Marty Staley and a brother, Malcom Staley.

He was a truck driver.

Survivors include a brother, Mark Staley of North Carolina; a sister, Wilma Rdoen of North Carolina; a son, Gary Staley of Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Megan Staley and Gabriel Staley.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
