Obituary

A.F. Gibbs, 90, of Alamo, died on Friday, August 18, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Gibbs was a member of Alamo United Methodist Church and had retired after 37 ½ years of service as a Line Foreman with the Little Ocmulgee EMC. Mr. Gibbs also served in the United States Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell C. Gibbs and Maggie Cox Gibbs; 2 sisters, Ruth Maddox and Rena Maddox.

Services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 20th in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the chapel prior to the services.

The Rev. Andy Brownley and the Rev. Lawrence Wiggins with officiate and the Eulogy will be by Perry Avery.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jeanette Gibbs of Alamo; nephews and nieces Jimmy Maddox, Jerry Maddox, Allen Tindol, Barbara Avery, Regina McNeal and several great nieces and nephews.
